The First Sentier Asian Quality Bond Growth Fund is an Asia-wide Investment Grade bond Fund that invests in corporate and government bonds.

The Fund follows a disciplined investment process backed by fundamental research and careful portfolio construction of between 75-89 securities with limits to countries, issuers, and securities. This process includes a forward-looking research process, whereby to anticipate and manage risk, it will actively manage duration or credit quality. The fundamental anchor to the process is also designed to build conviction and avoid the need to capitulate when markets are under duress.

ESG is integrated into the investment approach as is common amongst First Sentier Funds, and for the Asia Fixed Income space, ESG issues become even more material. An excellent example of ESG in action in the bond context is where a “"Stranded Assets"" credit review is carried out to assess and rate the assets' risk becoming significantly less valuable or unusable due to climate change, changing regulations, or similar.

The Fund has been a stable performer, and confidence in is performance is underscored by moderate drawdown and solid recovery in the past three years.,
